I know what you mean. I had had to really think between spiders and snakes but since I have only seen 1 snake here in 8 years and it was in a densely wooded area I went for the spiders. The other thing I am afraid of is bats it is right up there and tied with spiders in my book.

I'd rather pet a great white shark in the mouth before I'd take on a spider! (and that's no joke)

I don't "like" heights, but it's not a true phobia like my Arachnophobia.

sweet10,

No not really weird. I think we all have some fear along those lines. I myself am the worse backseat driver; I do not like not being able to control the vehicle I am in but I love to fly. I think that is because I do not know how to fly a plane maybe if I did I would be the worse backseat pilot.

Two things really frighten me. Bush and the current governmental regime in America, and the ignorance and/or apathy most Americans have as regards it.

I may just start sucking my thumb again if things don't improve soon...

Spiders, snakes, and bats don't bother me at all. But don't put a grasshopper anywhere near me. And I can't even type locust without cringing. And stick insects. Okay I'm done. Need to go scrub my brain.

my "other" is demons.

Demon possession freaks me out, because I believe in it happening to some degree. I know most reports are some type of mental illness, but I di think there are true demon possessions out there as well.

And you should be afaraid - very afraid because bush has sown the seeds of destruction for your country. So sad...

If it's any worse than this one, I'll have to demand a blankie, too.

Michelle, I never really thought of 'demon possession', but I have been close to someone who 'saw' and 'felt' demons, etc. I have to tell you that I was totally freaked--I could feel the hairs on my arms move.

I always insist on staying on the highest floor but am deathly afraid of heights. Also, afraid of the ocean at night--it appears to be never-ending. You will never find me frolicking on the beach at night.

1. The bush adminstration scares me very much

2. Birds, I was trying to get my cat out of a tree when I was younger with a piece of lunchmeat, well I did not know there was a nest of bluejays in the tree and they don't like people around the nest so they attacked me knocking out of the tree, pecking my head requiring over 80 stitches to close up and a broken arm.

3. My very worse fear is fire. I am terrified of fires. In 1978 I was in a major house fire. My 2 year old daughter and myself were trapped on the secord floor right after a blizzard hit the area. We got out by getting out on an ice covered ledge. I had servere burns to the bottom of my feet and some pretty bad cuts on my arms and hands.

Sadly, I am with Lisbeth -- the current set of politicians -- both parties -- are inept at best. I know Jefferson thought that every generation should have a revolution (not necessarily a violent one), and I think we are due. Money seems to control the direction of the country.

I hear a lot of people say that they are going to vote for an independent candidate, because they are SO sick of the current status quo - even though they know that usually takes votes away from the more likely to win candidates.

Blah. I worry about our country, and the direction it's taking.

I'm afraid of being alone period. That episode where a nuclear bomb goes off and a man is the only one left alive creeps me out. O_O

Spiders.
I held a Tarantula to let go of my fear of them, like it suggests in the pyramid of fears therapy, but Tho I was fine with the Turantula, I nearly cracked my head open in a tunnel trying to escape a dangling money spider half hour later. So much for psychology, it don't work! LOL!

There is only one thing that I am afraid of. That is living to see the death of either of my children.

Snakes and fatal diseases. Others don't bother me at all. Rather sometime I wish to see a ghost or hidden things in dark.
