I visited the [color:"red"]Pompidou Centre last weekend for the Nuit Blanche when Parisians stayed out all night and into the morning in the name of visiting scattered art exhibits. Modern art has never been my favorite, but the setting of the [color:"red"]Beaubourg, as the French refer to this museum, is dreamlike. From the color coded architecture of the bulding itself to the interactive experience of moving through its exhibits, visiting is a very memorable experience. Currently there is a diverse traveling exhibit of modern photography, a staircase composed of musical steps, and hanging handmade books from around the world. [color:"red"]Check it out! In addition, the hours run later than any of the other Paris museums. The fountain, nestled into the square between museum and church, with tinkering, rotating, spraying pieces in pop art colors and unlikely shapes is alone worth the trip into the quartier! <img src="/images/graemlins/music.gif" alt="" />
