I can never seem to keep my beads organized! I have one of those rolling carts with drawers and have recently gone through everything. I put all my tools in one drawer, seed beads go in another, glass beads in another, ect. I would like a better way to organize things though!

I am currently working on refinishing the floor in my spare bedroom and so hopefully I will have that done soon and then I plan to have a little space to devote to beading.

I'm awfully unorganised. Shhh! Don't tell. My seeds are in shoe boxes that started off color coordinated, they aren't anymore, and I think there are packs of sequins and possibly a couple tiny crocheted toy aliens in the boxes, bigger beads and cabs I keep in nuts and bolts type organizer boxes. Sometimes though, just sorting through to find things give me ideas.

My daughter is coming to visit this weekend and she has been saving baby food jars for me. Now I just need to get out and buy a double decker little lazy susan to keep them on. I have been looking through my magazines in the evening and thinking how nice it will be to have a space to keep beading supplies out!

Boy, I can relate! My craft room (the extra bedroom) got so full of my stuff all over the place that my husband begged me to clean it up - and then went out and got me two more (I already have two) big rolling sets of drawers.
I put my beads in those little compartmented boxes, and then put the boxes in the drawers - but they never stay organized for long!
I agree with Shala too - sometimes going through stuff ( in the umpteenth re-organizing) does give me new ideas on how to combine things.
I'm learning to live with semi-organized chaos - and trying to get my husband to tolerate it too!

I was reading in a magazine that you should go through and tear out the projects that you might do in the future. I have a big stack of magazines but shutter at the thought of tearing pages out! I think maybe I will decide to try some different thing later and wish I could look through the old magazines! Does anyone tear pages out and throw the magazine away?

Hmmm, guess I could go throught them all again and pick out what I would like to do. I do have that leaning tower of Pisa thing going on. I am trying to get rid of some things I don't need anymore. So far I have gotten the kitchen mostly done. We took everything off the counters and cleaned the counters and cabinet woodwork and then assessed some of the stuff/junk. It feels good to chunk some of the stuff I don't use anymore.

Hey! New to bella, and I love to bead!!! I bought myself a big fishing tackle box. It has all kinds of compartmenst. And a big area in the bottom for jewerly tools. I got one of the new kinds where all the compartments are sealed when shut. I love it. It's a whole lot cheaper then in the craft department. And it has a handle for when I trave. It's Great! And they come in great colors. I got a hot green color. It's Cool!

thanks, Y'All!

PS - I read SOMEWHERE (dont remember where) about a new software package that enables you to scan and organize all those important articles/images/etc that are lurking in those stacks of magazines we cant get rid of.(I am such a magazine saver)
Anyone know the name of that software??
