My sister as a result of weight loss surgery in 2001.

Cathy was a beautiful wife, mother, sister, friend. But too often she felt ugly and too fat. My book HUNGRY FOR MORE is dedicated to Cathy and offers hope and help to women, particularly African Americans, who struggle with weight and body image.
Order your copy from Amazon.com and I'll send you a special HUNGRY FOR MORE magnet.

is this not spamming.....?

just asking....But you've posted only three times - on different fora - and all to promote your book....
Why not just actually join in....?

No, I am not....And thank you for joining in - !!

Whilst I am always open to all manner of posts, and would never judge any opinion or view proffered, I just found it a shame that the only three posts you have contributed in your time on this forum, have - ultimately, if you will forgive my bluntness - been self-serving....

Whilst I applaud your quest to prevent others following the same route as your sister, your posts could be viewed as blatant advertising of a profit-making product. Of course you want to get your message across, and rightly so....But Open up. Start a thread - create a point of discussion...

In this day and age, when women, inspite of emancipation and supposed equality - are still being subjected to perfect-image stereotypes via the media, input from people such as yourself may do a great deal to dissuade the young, vulnerable and impressionable from going down the same road.

But I personally feel it would be more effective, on a predominantly Female Forum, to come in and approach it hands on, rather than merely seek to attract buyers for your book.

Metta.

Alexandra.

You are right! I will start a thread about women and depression, which is really what I want to talk about. What category should I place it?

look under Health and Fitness, and choose a sub-category there....

That's probably the best option....

Good luck!! Go for it - !!
