Philip Winikoff, age 76 went door to door pretending to be a doctor and offering women free breast examinations.

The examination included a vaginal exam without any rubber gloves on.
Several women were fondled and sexually assaulted.

Am I allowed to call him an old pervert?
He worked alone, without an accomplice or assistant.
Winikoff, carried a physicians bag and stated he was visiting at the local hospital.

Only one woman, became suspicious and called authorities.
This old man was a shuttle bus driver for an auto dealership.

I just have to wonder why women wouldn't find this suspicious from the get go.

Me neither, on many different levels but I didn't want to say this.

There is no vaginal examination given without rubber gloves and a female nurse/assistant.

And, I have never lived anywhere in the world where they knock door to door, have you?

Sometimes women can be just too trusting.

thats true sometimes women can be.... thats why you see these talk shows with women having bad breast implants, surgery, ect because people are not checking out credentials, doing background checks, ect making sure these people are actually qualifified to do the job they claim to do

I'm not touching that subject, my dog ain't getting in that fight.

All I can say is, I'm cool with my body image.
And, by the standardized charts they always tell me I'm over weight.
I laugh at them.

I am not cutting or sucking on my body and I embrace my cellulite, it is was it is.

A few years ago, the charts told and listen to this, that Michael Jordan had too much body fat -- Whatever!

I like my size 14 and by no means did I intend to sound hateful.

If somebody offered me money for plastic surgery, I be like yeah cool, then I'd go shopping...hehehe! <img src="/images/graemlins/rolling.gif" alt="" />

OH lucky star,

One time I adorned a size 22, due medications I was taking.

My fabulous sized 18 daughter-in-law, introduced me to the big girls shop called Lane Bryants.
I came out looking like a movie star, Miss Parker - Monique.

I thought I was all that and a bag of chips.
I only lost the weight due to health reasons, I have asthma.
The extra pounds wasn't good to it.

Other than that I wouldn't have been worried about it.
Big Girrls are Sexxy and they Rock!
Forget Hollywood!

i understand what youre saying.....i was just trying to show other ways in which some women are too trusting...but this doesnt just go for women it can be for some men also although in most cases its always the women.....but thanks for your input.....

All I know is, if a man is going to touch my girly bits, it better either be my husband, or a doctor THAT I SEEK OUT. I would think that most people would possess that kind of common sense, but maybe I'm giving people more credit than they deserve.

That sounds harsh, and I do feel bad for the women who got assaulted. But all this could have been prevented with a little common sense. A medical bag does not a doctor make. And doctors don't generally make house calls, particularly unsolicited ones.

Something just occurred to me.

Maybe it's his age. Maybe women gave him the benefit of the doubt because he seemed like a kindly old man.

Thoughts?

I thought possibly it is was due to his age, but he wouldn't have gotten inside of my home.

My 1st thought would have been you dirty old man/pervert.
I wouldn't have went for it, no way.

But, your right it probably was his age.

I just had an after thought...

Aren't these women more than just lucky?
Can you envision a much worse scenario, that could have played out by allowing a strange man into your home, then undressing yourself for him?

That could have really been a bad crime scene to walk up on.

What year (or decade or century) was this? What country? Do you have a source for the story?

I cannot imagine this happening recently in a westernized country. I can believe that some guy would be devious enough to do it, but I can't imagine any woman taking him seriously. If he knocked on my door, I'd politely decline (to not rouse his suspicions, because I would have no idea how dangerous he is or if he were carrying a weapon) and then immediately call 911 with a full description and tell them what direction he was heading.
