OK, OK, I'll start - BUT, this is not Chris's Advertising Thread, and I really want you guys to post any listings you have going on. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I just listed several new auctions in my eBay Store - including some new African bone beads and pendants, some really intricately carved Chinese Zodiac bone beads, and some rustic, large clay beads:

I have lots of beads for sale in addition to my hand made jewelry items. You can see them on my website, http://www.perazabeads.com and where I list the majority of my beads - on the newest auction site where you can buy quality hand made glass beads from self-representing artists. Here's a link to one of my auctions there - this is a new type of focal/bail I am making with 3 holes...

I make fused glass beads and sell them...so I will add my link. Sales are via my website and not ebay (too time consuming and $$). Fusing glass is more than a hobby for me, it is my living. I have beads and cabochons and donuts.

Any advice?

AM,

Is the problem finding beads with holes that are large enough? Often beads made of bone, horn, wood, or ceramic have larger holes. Lots of African beads have relatively large holes, too. I know that some hemp artisans also use a lot of polymer clay cane beads and pendants.

For an example of the beads I used recently in a men's beaded necklace, see this project:

http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art34301.asp

All of the beads I used there have holes that should be large enough for use with most hemp.

The most difficult beads to find with large holes will probably be gemstone beads (especially because the holes are larger on the ends and smaller on the insides) and some glass beads.

I recently reviewed a book called The Bead Directory which might help you guys figure out which beads would work best:

http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art33275.asp

Best of luck!

Chris

Hi,for those of you interested in learning new techniques, I've released a DVD entitled Metal Techniques of Bronze Age Masters: Russian Filigree. It features 5 projects filmed in high resolution close-ups and a running time of 2-1/2 hours. It's geared for people, who know the very basics of how to solder with a torch. There is also a 70-page illustrated printable PDF booklet included so you can keep the directions at your bench as well as membership to an online Q&A forum.

To watch a preview of the DVD, please go toBellaOnline ALERT: Raw URLs are not allowed in these forums for security reasons. Please use UBB code. If you don't know how to do UBB code just post here for help - we will help out!

Yes - I am a bead a holic and have not had the proper time to make jewelry the last year. I literally have enough strands and beads to open a small bead store. I have semi precious, vintage, czech glass, swarovski, turquoise - you name it. In addition I have enough vintage jewelry to last me a lifetime.

I have some beads/supplies on my website. And I have many many more things. I have a spreadsheet of some things I can send if interested as well as any requests. It is simply too much to list, and I have not had time to put on the site or ebay. I simply must sell some of this or I will be under a mound of beads smile

Also - if you are interested in vintage jewelry, I have a lot in my ebay store, on my website - or can put together small lots.

Below are some links to my website - info@carolperrydesigns.com email me with requests or to learn more.

I am from southern Oregon, where Fire Mt gems is located (altho I now live in TX). I've never seen a better selection or better prices that FMG's. I worked in a bead store in Corpus Christi, TX many years ago and lots of their beads came from there.

Their catalog is huge!

Just opened a new shop. I create both lampwork and polymer clay beads and jewelry in my SW Florida studio. I work on a torch and my lampwork beads are all kiln annealled. I love to do custom work especially for brides and bridal party. Check out my unique combo of OOAK lampwork and pearl necklaces perfect for that special night. Wow, what a great Idea. Thanks. smile
I have bought TONS of beads and don't have a chance to use them. I don't have an Ebay account to sell them on, and would be interested in selling them here.
I have many different types of beads and supplies and can probably sell them cheaper than you'll find them for sale by professionals on ebay on any other online store.
I also have DICHROIC pendants, earrings, bracelets and cabs for sale that I make.
I'm not a professional and have been told that my dichroic work is unique and have sold many pieces right off my neck when someone sees me wearing them.
I don't have pictures online, but would be happy to email you pictures of some of my work.
My beads include many SWAROVSKI crystals of all shapes, sizes and colors, as well as SWAROVSKI findings, wire, etc.
Please email for your requests...
Thanks...

Hi Donna,

Your cabs are really nice. I love making jewelry as well, but have to say that I generally buy the cabs from others.

If you would like some help making your products available through a shopping cart, I can at least give you some direction on doing that. It may be nicer than just going the email route. It's pretty easy and you've done all the hard part.

Once again...your work is beautiful.

Hi,.I would like to introduce myself. My name is Remy and I have been making wire worked jewelry since 2000. I started writing tutorials in 2006 and I'm gradually building up a collection. My tutorials are located on my website StudioHeath Jewelry Making Tutorials.

I had a break from writing tutorials and selling jewelry for much of the past 12 months however, as I was required to concentrate all my efforts on my children, especially my 12yr old son who was struggling with pre-teen/low self esteem issues(he is a very happy and confident 13yr old boy now thankfully).

I've just started making jewelry again and feel a renewed excitment which reminds me of the way I felt when I completed my first ever bracelet. I also have plans underway to write some new tutorials and hope to have another one done soon.

If you visit my website and have a bit of time to spare, don't forget to take a look in the galleries.

I look forward to chatting with you on the forum.

Cheers,
Remy
