You can also try just sucking on a piece of ginger by itself, if you like the taste. I've found that if you *chew* a piece of ginger, it's too spicy for most people, but if you just suck on a nice thin piece, it's a lovely flavor. (Think the ultra-thin slices they serve with sushi.
