I have owned my mobile home for about three years now, and during my spring cleanup outside I noticed definite tunnels in the ground which I can only assume come from moles. There is nothing in the lease that states it would be MY responsibility to take care of this issue, I see the tunnels running through several different sites. My question is this - how much leverage does a resident have to force the hand of the management to handle this particular pest problem? <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

If its not outlined in your lease that it is "your" responsibilty I would think it would fall on them to take care of it. I would be fighting that angle anyway.

Have you contacted them at all yet?

I did, but they never called back. I talked to a lawyer and he said that I wouldn't push such a minor issue. The mole is running through about 10 sites on this block. I suppose he's not doing any real damage, other than the definite lines of dead grass from his burrows. My dad laughed at me when I told him what my problem was. He just laughed and said - leave the mole alone, he's not hurting anything! LOL. So I've let it rest. Thank you though. The Lawyer did say that if it isn't outlined in the lease I could technically fight for it, but it would be a waste of time and money on this matter. He said use a fight when you really need to use a fight.

Thanks for the response!
