God is love. God is not seperate from love. Love is seperate from sex. God puts no restrictions on love. You may love anyone, everyone, all the time. God does put restrictions on sex. You may only have sex with a person of the opposite sex who is your spouse. Period. Claiming love does not purchase an excuse. God defines the difference between love and lust. He created the universe, that gives Him the sole right to define its parameters both in the physical and spiritual realm. A covenant is a binding spiritual agreement. God never breaks covenant.

I should be more clear. Your love and your child are legitimate. Those two relationships are valid. Your sex with your live-in partner is not valid in God's eyes. You have no marrige, therefore you have no covenant with God or this person regarding the blessings or promises by God regarding marriage.

Thanks Dave, for your responses (and Freespirit <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> ) - I don't see why sex isn't an expression of love. Love varies in its forms and as part of a union it can make up the whole truth that is the 'whole love'. And besides that, it's fun - surely part of being on earth is enjoyment as well? Having said that, I see your argument, that in your belief system, certain types of behaviour need to be controlled or validated by God. It isn't the way I think personally, but I respect you for it anyway <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
