And Michelle, I know what you mean. The slow cooker can be so fast and easy as far as prep. I just need to think ahead with a slow cooker.

The toaster oven is cool. Open-faced sandwiches are yummy. Somehow, when you melt some Jack cheese on turky or roast beef, it turns a cold sandwich into a hot knife-and-fork meal.

Anyone have any other great little cooking appliances?

[/quote] Microwave oven are really of great help, but there are food safety and health risks involved. when we get used to using microwaves oven a lot, the radiation generated to cook the food remains in the food and is consumed causing cancer in the long run.
