John Frieda has some good products but I haven't seen the glaze. If I see it around here, I will pick some up and test it.

Glossing is, in essence, a form of hair coloring that colors it in the same color as your original hair to accentuate it more and make it brighter. Am I correct?

Isa, I think that sounds right...all I know is that it makes your hair shiny...

Phew, I could use that. It's either that or a perm, but I think we all know what is the least damaging of the 2. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Isa, I don't recommend a perm, unless that's what you really want...I'm not saying you shouldn't get one and there are a lot of good hairdressers who will do a good job..
Do you want a perm because you want curly hair or is it just to add body? Is your hair straight or wavy?
My hair is thick and it was already wavy/curly to begin with, but I just wanted to make it a bit curlier with a little more hold...this is why I got the perm...my mistake, but it's getting better, it just took a lot of time..

I'm guessing, but it sounds like you would like a body perm for more fullness...My mother gets this kind of perm since she doesn't want much curl, but sometimes she ends up with curly hair, but it's loose not tight... Isa, have you ever permed your hair before?

No, I have never got a perm before. I'm looking more into it for volume and some loose curls as the maximum strength of curl. I'm looking for someone who wants to do it while I have a good feeling about it.
Somebody who says that it would damage my hair but wants to perm when I ask it again on a later date doesn't make it feel like I should be going to that hairdresser. Then again, I could be wrong.
I'm still planning on getting one by the end of this month, but with doubt. Then again, I already bought shampoo and conditioner for permed hair, which is a tell-tale sign for me that I still want to continue with it.

Isa, if you do get a perm let us know how you like it... bring some pictures of what you would like and wherever you go ask to have a consultation first... Ask questions beforehand, so you know what to expect..
