Tikus. It took me forever to figure it out myself. First you have to recrop the image intil it is less then 600 by 600 pixels. Then it should work. If you want, email your picture to me as a gif or Jpeg file and I'll fix it for you, send it back then you can upload it.

Uploading is the problem. I click on the blank space where the picture should be and it asks me if I want to save the picture. ??

I've tried cut and paste. No luck. My photo is already reduced to the correct size. HELP!

Ok, so how do you do it?

Step by step. I'm missing something.
Here's how I've been trying
1. Open Edit Bio
2. Go to picture
3. Try copy (my picture) and paste on blank spot. Nope
3. Click on blank spot. Nope
3. Try one of the two options above the blank spot, I don't even know what they are asking. Nope.

Help Patty (or anyone else)

Tic,

Follow this EXACTLEY.

1: Go to "Edit Bio".
2: Scroll down to "Your current avatar".
3: Select "URL to your avatar". Enter the address. Mostly see where it is in your files. It may be easier to save your picture online somewhere (email your picture to yourself, then open it. Look on your browser, hit right click on your mouse, copy the location, then go back to the avatar screen and paste it.)
4: Your picture must be no more then 200x200 max pixels, can be less.
5: Click "Change".

Hope that helps.

I think I'm computer iliterate.

I still can't do it. Maybe if I knew what URL was?

Do you mean I email to my hotmail the picture.
And then copy the http address info or what?

Thanks Chris

I believe the photo has to be hosted somewhere. It can't be on your computer. You can go to www.photobucket.com or many other free imaging places and upload the pic there. Then you can take the URL and add it to the instructions above.

It has been so long that I forgot the exact way I did mine but I know mine is hosted on photobucket and I checked other user pics and they are all hosted somewhere.

Try that and I will look more into it.

Or you can make a separate post asking users how they got their picture up. MikeyBoy and Ice have theirs up so they should know.

Some help *I* am!

Tikus,

When I added my pic, I first posted it on my blog. The I copied the location there. I think Patty is right, your picture needs to be hosted somewhere. If you have ablog or even a picture on the profile you use for your service provider, that's where you can get it. And yes, the http address.
