While George Friedrich Handel wrote the music for ï¿½Messiahï¿½, the words actually came from his longtime friend,[color:"red"] Charles Jennings.[/color] [color:"blue"](It's Charles Jennens.)[/color] Many debate that the words were inspired by scriptures; such as [color:"red"]ï¿½The Hallelujah Chorusï¿½[/color] [color:"orange"](It's title is "Hallelujah"!)[/color][color:"red"] which is the grand finale of this famous oratorio.[/color] [color:"blue"] (Messiah is written in 3 parts and "The Hallelujah Chorus" comes at the end of Part 2.) [/color] While others say that the lyrics were completely original. in all likelihood, it was a combinationf of the two.
