First try at a jointed teddy bear:

I may give it elf shoes and a vest or hat to make it Christmasy. Mom will get this one. It looks better in person--the photo shows its ears are definitely on different levels. I already knew its joints were somewhat out of sync.

Wow, what a cute little teddy - being a little unsymmetrical is part of its charm!

I did a couple projects this week while waiting for gardening weather.

The first was a sock monkey where I used up two singleton buttons:

so he's the Gun Safety Reminder Monkey.

The second is needlefelted from some fleece a spinner gave me:

Since the pieces are solid, and not stuffed, it's thread-jointed which is loads easier than using a pin-and-button joint. It helps that the rabbit's only 6 inches tall, anyway.

Your projects couldn't be more adorable!

I know what you mean about waiting for gardening weather!

BTW - where are you or what latitude are you living on? - I'm above the 52 degree latitude - very long winters.

Thanks!
We're in Kentucky. While it's been warm enough for a little while, there's still too much mud to try to do anything. My bulbs are all rocketing out of the ground, though.

Sounds like you'll be out in the garden soon, though!
