Hi Everyone,

What doll making projects are you working on?

I'm making doll dresses for AG dolls for 2 of my grandkids' birthdays in Spring. I like to sew in winter when it is too cold to garden much here in The Netherlands.

I am fixing to start a 36 inch raggedy ann and andy doll pair. I am a bit frazzled. But maybe I'll make it through... ............

Oh, I made the 36 inch size for my kids when they were growing up - what fun to have a child-size doll!

I love your avitar Rainyz! Is that a guinea pig or hamster?
I made my grand daughter a soft sculpture doll for her birthday. It was my first attempt at one of these types of dolls. I see a lot of room for improvement but I did come up with a technique (I'm sure all of you are probably already in the know) by wrapping my yarn around an empthy paper towel roll several times and then sewing it down the center to keep it in tact. I did 6 that way and did it on a smaller tube for the bangs. I got lovely long curls that I just glued on instead of the pain staking sewing it all on method. She wears 6 months baby clothes and I found a $1.87 clearance outfit at a local store so that was an added benefit.
Here she is:

I've just finished two cats for Halloween

that I devised from an old Halloween decoration I remember from childhood:

I'm also working on clothing for a rag doll Christmas present for my niece. The doll is the easy part, I'm not much of a seamstress.

Susan--thank you so much for your generosity in posting patterns! I've made the ballerina costume for the rag dolly, everyone who has seen it so far thinks it's adorable. I hope my niece likes it, if not, I'll keep it!

Thanks for sharing - that's very creative using buttons for the bending joints in the first cat photo.

Have fun with your projects and THANKS for your positive feedback - much appreciated!

Just finished 2 -18 inch Santa dolls. I am searching for some very small plastic Santa boots. Seems they are not in any of my local stores yet. Maybe its just just too early to find them.

My teenaged nephew grew up with Pokemon, and he and his friends all look like anime figures to me. So when I found an online tutorial for a mini doll, I had to make one of him:

Before it had its hair, it looked like Bing Crosby. smirk
