How many body parts begin with the letter A?

Arteries - those are kind of important! And I guess the Aorta would be the most important one of all.

Very good ladies. What about the thing that everyone gets concerned about when they have pain in the lower right abdomen? Hint - many, many people have it removed. (AP_ _ _ _ _ _)

oh, yeah...appendix. I still have mine. I can't believe that I forgot the heart ones though since I that was the surgery I had last May. Maybe that is why I forgot?!
I can think of another "A" ...it just doesn't seem like a 'body part' ... anus, adenoids

Babyquaker is out in front with 8! I'm impressed, but let's see if you're up to a little research.
1. One of 3 tissues that line the brain/spinal cord 2. Part of the hip joint 3. Bone near the collar bone
Whoever can get these three can be an honorary doctor for a day. (Sorry, no prescription pad privileges - smile. Oh yea, no real patients either. Gotta abide by those laws, you know).

#1 Of the 3 meninges that line the brain/spinal cord, probably the one that is most commonly recognized, at least it was to me was the dura mater - which is the outside lining; the lining closest to the inside is the pia mater; which leaves the middle lining: arachnoid ... oops... I can't read my own writing, I'm not sure about the ending of that word. It just reminded me of a spider.
#2 Part of a hip joint - there are really only two - ball and socket, right?
#3 The bone near the collarbone is the scapula, since I think of the collarbone as the clavicle, and this was a lot harder to research. Thanks for the challenging questions!

Impressive, Babyquacker. These questions are meant to be challenging. (Otherwise, brilliant people like you would get them right off!). Stay tuned for the answers to #2 and 3 soon.
