Very nice! Your new fish is a beauty and quite a find! Doesn't it feel great to give them a good home? Does he have a name yet?

Well, when my daughter discovers him I was going to let her name him....no one yet knows I have a new one...lol...I like to just whisk them in and wait for someone to notice. It's very satsifying when folks oooo and ahhh over my fish...lol...but lately all I get at home is rolled eyes!

I was thinking perhaps Gandalf would be a good name for him..that's who I think of when I look at him...but I'll wait and see what my daughter thinks. She likes to have something to do with the aquisition..

I am also a LOTR fan - Iceman was almost named Gandalf the White. It was the long white flowing fins that reminded me of the long flowing robes. But I was worried that he would not make it, and I'd have to tell my son that "Gandalf" died. Once was enough! (in the movies) LOL!

Oh, my daughter has decided to name her white betta "Ruth" after a dragon character in the book "The White Dragon" by Anne McCaffrey....from the "Dragon Riders of Pern" series. Good books for anyone who enjoys Fantasy/Science fiction reads.

I submitted a photo a few days ago, but it still hasn't been approved. I guess these forums aren't very active anymore, and I wish I'd found them sooner!

Emg.. I agree with you on the Pern series of books, I enjoyed them a lot when I was younger and read more often.
