Woo-hoo! I am so excited. They are making a movie of Wonder Woman (girl power to the x-treme!) And the director is Joss Whedon! I love it!!!!! No formal release date yet, probably summer of '07. LOTS of speculation on who's gonna play the lead role. Some say Sandra Bullock's in the lead (I love S.D., but she's just too cute), then there's J.Lo (No Way!), then I also hear Eliza Dushku who played the "dark" slayer on "Buffy" - the TV Series (my personal favorite- she can kick butt)

So who do y'all think should be Wonder Woman?

I started to put Jennifer Garner up here, but she's already playing a comic super-hero; Elektra

Of course, so is Halle Berry; Storm from X-Men (we won't count CatWoman against her)

Angelina Jolie is definitely buff, but she's SO associated with Tomb Raider; Lara Croft

Like I said, my choice is Eliza Dushku (plus she's already worked with Joss Whedon), but I also really like Rachel Luttrell. She plays Teyla on Sci-Fi's Stargate Atlantis. She's already like an amazon warrior so she might be perfect.

(You know I didn't put Lucy Lawless - *Xena* - on this list)

Who ever it is it will probably be someone under 30 which would cut out Bullock. I've always loved Lynda Carter. It has to be someone tall because they are suppose to be Amazons. What about Katy Holmes? Too cute?

She has pulled out of all of her contracts now that she is pregnant.

But yeah, I think she is too cute!

Lynda Carter made the same comment; that it needed to be someone in their 20s.

There's a rumour it might be this beauty:

Morena Baccarin

I think I prefer her to Eliza.

Oooooo, I loved her in "Serenity" & "Firefly"! Once again, Joss Whedon creations!

And she definitely has that exotic look going. She would be a good choice!

Is it a bad thing that I don't know who 4 of those 8 people are? I've never heard of farscape or stargate atlantis either, LOL.

Oh well. I watched WW as a kid, cartoon and Linda Carter. I am not a superhero fan

Well, it's official Rachel Bilson has been announced as the new WonderWoman. Here's a pic of her.

She plays Summer off The OC.

She's beautiful but personally, I think she's too short to play a amazon.

The girl who plays Wonder Woman will be a complete unknown as Lynda Carter was when she assumed the role in 1975.

She is gorgeous, but she is awfully *sweet* looking.

I was really figuring Baccarin would get it, she has that exotic look - plus has already shown that she can kick b-u-t-t in a movie! She looked right at home with that bow and arrow in "Serenity". Oh well...

I'm still excited about the movie! Maybe by next Halloween I'll be able to fit into a costume. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> (I've always wanted to wear one - not counting the underoos I had when I was 6).
