Hi Adam, Zooba, Jerzy, and all in Poland

So tell me, what is the biggest "buzz" in Poland just now? Is there some topic that everyone is talking about?

ELECTIONS! The parliament one is on September 25 and the presidential one some weeks later. Just yesterday one of the key players, Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz, from former communistic party PZPR, now SLD resigned from running for president. Quite a surprise. He was the strongest candidate on the left side of the political spectrum. I wonder what will happen next...

Zooba,

I guess this strange corruption affair (Orlen, Jarucka) (which happened to be not truth) lowered his support among people and then he just had enough fight and prefered to give up.

The election, I agree with Zooba. But apart for that there's a bunch of some smaller biggest buzzes:
Ie. business as usual: how good we are <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
"Warsaw University is ranked first in the Top Coder international IT ranking. The University has outperformed the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University and California Institute of Technology. TopCoder consists in fact of two rankings - individual and university levels. Poles are leaders in both! These successes are the result of very good system of teaching mathematics as well as Polish traditions in this field"
I will open a new thread for that, since someone might like to discuss iy in detail <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
