Probably my most favorite person out of the Bible (other than Jesus of course!) is David. He is the person I feel like I can most relate to. He screws up little and he screws up BIG, but he always comes back to God, and God always forgives him and loves him. David goes through good times and he goes through bad times. In the book of Psalms he writes songs of triumph and praise and thanksgiving to God; and he writes songs of sorrow and (lets face it) whining .

I can relate to this! I have a horrible habit of whining at God; a terrible case of the "why me's" (Yeah - look at my sig.)

This song's music and lyrics are by Brian Doerksen, Daphne Rademaker, Karen Mitchinson, and Steve Mitchinson. Although if one goes back to the original lyricist - then I guess we must give King David the credit! It is from Brian Doerksen's praise album "You Shine" (awsome album! - if you are looking for a praise album for your car, this is a great one). Check out his website @ www.braindoerksen.com The song is performed by him and Daphne Rademaker. The music is haunting and beautiful.

[color:"red"] How long Oh Lord
Will You forget me
How long Oh Lord
Will You look the other way
How long Oh Lord
Must I wrestle with my thoughts
And ev'ry day
Have such sorrow in my heart

Look on me and answer
O God my Father
Bring light to my darkness
Before they see me fall Oh Lord

(Chorus)
But I trust in Your unfailing love
Yes my heart will rejoice
Still I sing of Your unfailing love
You have been good
You will be good to me

It starts out as a "whiner" but ends w/ David putting complete trust in God, because God has never given him a reason not to!

Why me? What did I do to deserve this?
