I fractured a vertebrae in my back on Jan. 8, 2003; surgery was done Feb. 28, 2003; nerve damage done causes my feet, legs, hands, and back to feel on fire constantly. Neuro said I have peripheral neuropathy and one doc even said I have the chronic pain associated with MS. I can barely walk and fall a lot. On my really bad days, I use a wheelchair.
YOU may not have to worry about that, tho!
I have been told by a friend of mine, who happens to be a nurse and HAS RSD, that I also suffer with RSD. Mind you, NO doctor has come right out and said that is what I have, but she knows what she is talking about; she has suffered with it since 1998.
One thing she advises is to NOT put COLD on it! She said cold can make it spread.
I strongly suggest for you to do as much research on the links given, as you can; talk with members of some groups, and most of all, have a good relationship with your doctor.
I will keep you in my prayers!
Hang in there! Keep us posted !
