**WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT BUG YOU THE MOST IN THE PLANE??**

If you'/re on a roll, don't limit yourself to one. Venting (or even calmly sharing) can be very therapeutic!!!

I'll start -
People who don't know what one or two pieces of "hand" luggage means. If it needs wheels to move, it should be checked.

One guy wanted me to stow my hand luggage under my seat, because he had a television!!! to put in the overhead locker!!

Ah.... that feels better.... Your turn now....

I can understand not wanting to check a sensitive item like a TV have you ever seen the baggage handlers throwing stuff on the convoyer belts. However, I think the TV should go under the seat. I would rather your tennis or golf clothes hit me in the head when it comes flying out of the overhead compartment then the guys TV. I can see the headlines she would have survived the crash had it not for that TV smashing her in the head. JMHO

I can just see that headline. Ouch!! I take your point about the luggage handlers throwing stuff around.

I guess part of my grumble was the huge amount of stuff (often bulky and way over the official size and number of pieces) that people sometimes bring on board.

Not sure what the answer is, as I can understand a bit of flexibility with hand luggage policy. But how do you make it fairer for everyone...and help avoid the stress of the mad scramble for overhead locker space?

I have terrible allergies that medication won't help. When someone has marinated in perfume on a plane, regardless of where they're sitting, I'll have a migraine for the rest of the day. On a flight back from London once, someone was actually using nail polish remover to give herself a manicure and then painting her toenails over. What kind of person does that on a crowded plane?

Another thing that makes me desperately ill is when people start lathering in anti-bacterial hand lotions and applying perfume and scented lotions. Everyone has a right to do their own thing, I admit, but when there's no air ventilation for several hours, please realize that not everyone on the plane wants to smell like you do.

Mine is when you have to fly to locations for business that are typically for pleasure (ie. Orlanda, Vegas) and everybody on the plane expects that you should be just as peppy as them. On a flight back from Vegas (Interop conference) there was this family that honestly made me think of the Beverly Hillbillies. It was a red-eye flight. I had planned on sleeping, because I had to be at work the next day, but this family obviously had won before the flight because they whooped and hollered all the way home. AND all their seat weren't even together!

Why me? What did I do to deserve this?

Kimberley, I can really identify with you on that. I remember the days of non smoking and smoking sections in the one plane... with smoke drifting over both.

And Michelle... I can just imagine the picture you describe of the hooting and hollering of the "Beverley Hillbilies".

Heaven's forbid if/when they allow mobiles on in flight. There will be no sleep then.
