(I feel like I'm taking up half this interview). In Buddhism finding Dharma (or the ultimate Truth - impermanace, is that correct) is the usltimate goal, weel finding, accepting, and making it the main focus of one's life. As a Christian I would think the main focus of one's life (especially that of one who has dedicated her life to the Church) would be God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit and fulfilling the great commission that Jesus set before His disciples before He ascended into heaven after His ressurection which was to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature" Mark 16:15
How do you reconcile those two predominant ideals?
Samten, that question was basically for the Sister, but if I have misunderstood anything in the basic Buddhism, please feel free to correct me beforehand! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Also, please understand that anything I say to you in your forum, I am not trying to convert you, I very much enjoy debating, I was on the debate team in college, and sometimes I get carried away. If I say the word "you" in a statement, I am not ususally ordering YOU PERSONALLY to do something, it is more of the generic you. (I found myself getting carried away and offending someone earlier this week, I do not wish to do the same with you. I have found our conversations very interesting.)
