A BROKEN CHARITY - THE RISE AND FALL OF THE JEWISH EDUCATIONAL CENTER I am pleased to announce, will be released July 2. This nonfiction book is a labor of love. Why did I write it? Because, I believe it is an important part of Jewish history - particularly in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York where the Rabbi Bentzion Pil and his wife, Mattie Pil created one of the largest used car businesses in the U.S.
This story tells how the I.R.S. raid the charity's main headquarters and how the employees struggled to keep the JEC afloat. No matter how hard we fought, the roadblocks grew larger and larger. I am now able to tell the employees' stories giving insights into the people behind the names the media has splashed across America. Read the first chapter on my web-site: www.jackegeorge.com and feel free to sign my guestbook while you are there.
