Just wanted to list an update for those who have been away awhile...

I still have Lytol, my very first betta purchase. No probs with him at all...he's healthy as ever.

Also still have my second betta purchase...FruitPunch...my son's bright red betta.

I lost Zorro, my copper delta tail...very sad about that...he got a good crop of camelanus nematodes somehow from my blue rams..who had them when I purchased them. I miss that guy, he was beautiful !

Gorbash and Neon are still happy and healthy and doing well and so is my GreenGold fella. My daughters white/pastel blue is also still with us.

I also still have my first female betta purchase who was supposed to be a match for Teal...who I lost quite awhile ago. He was the one I did the fin surgery on. She is swimming happily in my river tank setup.

Wow...this could go on all day....lol...here's a list of the fish I have...

11 male bettas:

a new pink/purple betta

my female bettas:
Teal, my first female I purchased

the neon female match for my neon male (she's a little terror !)
the orange female fry I raised, who is no longer a pretty orange, but a muddy brown..but I keep the little thing anyway..lol..she's sort of handicapped and never grew very big.

I have been dabbling with a river tank and have two red bellied newts and a marble newt that I found crossing the hot pavement recently. I'll probably let that one go.

I still have my two adf's (african dwarf frogs) They're in a 10 gallon with two of my female bettas and a couple of female guppies I don't want to mix with the males...for obvious reasons..lol.. I call that my "junk" tank. It's a tank I put fish in that for one reason or other I can't or don't want to put in my other tanks. Like female guppies that I HAD to purchase in order to get the males that my daughter wanted..I also have the one and only longfinned danio I have left...the zebra who was the big bully of the lot.

My favorite tank is the 29 planted I have set up. I put a pic of that on Jilly's "traveling with betta" thread. I have in that tank:

2 neon dwarf gourami
1 pair of bonded german blue rams
3 panda cories
4 otocinclus

My daughter's tank is doing very well..the best of the lot really..I never have to fuss with that one. She has in that tank, which is a 10 gallon:

2 emerald green cories
2 fancy male guppies
1 glo-light tetra

I finally took most of my juvenile rams to the lfs last night. Boy, was that ever not worth all the time and effort I put into it !! I only got $1.25 store credit each for them..what a disappointment. It's the same price he gave me for the last batch I brought him...which were only about an inch and a half when I sold them to him. This last batch are about 2 1/2 inches and absolutely gorgeous! I don't think I want to raise any more fish....it's so NOT worth it ! <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Well, it was fun typing this all out if nothing else..lol.
