Well in most african culture, a gap between the two front lower teeth is more common especially in women. It's done purposely as a sign of beauty. I know men in african culture who won't marry women without that gap. This is a ritual that's undertaken when a woman is between the age of ten and fifteen.

That's really interesting, Rolen! Did you know that a naturally-occuring gap between the two UPPER front teeth is quite common among African Americans?

I haven't read any statistics on that, but I observed it among my patients. After 20 years of practicing dentistry, I saw a lot of gaps!

I don't think jewel does have a gap, she seems to have more crowding & crooked teeth than a gap. Gaps can look good if the overall health & shape of the teeth are ok.

Beauty, I think that gaps will decline now that we have the lumineer option. Are you using this option with your patients now or still using the tradional veneers?
