I'm working on an article for the Movie Mistakes site about pet peeves in the movie theater. I was just curious to see if anyone else had any pet peeves.
Mine has to be loud talking throughout the movie.

I don't go to the movies a lot because I have so many pet peeves. My big one is people talking during the movie too. I was at one movie that the person kept explaining the plot to the person next to them. It was awful. Also I seem to always get the person that kicks my sit the whole time.

I have to agree with Judith on the kicker. It seem like every movie that I went to in '04 i had a kicker behind me.

Oh my gosh! I think we must have all been in the same theater. Was this person by chance talking on a cell phone too?

Nope I have not had a problem with cell phones, just kickers.

People who bring babies and toddlers to R-rated films. I can't stand them. Especially on a full-up Friday or Saturday night. Or worse, my fave midnight showings dripping with rampant fandom.

Let the kids stay home for goodness sake....

I can't stand talkers. I have noticed this happens when a movie first comes out, or while it is still attracting a large crowd. For this reason, I wait a while and only go when I practically have the theater to myself.

We went to the midnight showing of Star Wars and some older kids (maybe early to mid teens) stood up in front of the screen before the previews and wanted people to sing Happy Birthday to one of them. Yes, believe it or not, they made it out alive...barely!

I take my kids to movies that are kid's movies because I know it will be only kids. We went before we had kids to see South Park the movie. Not many people, but there were small kids there. I was shocked. I think it was the babysitter that had them in there. My favorite time to see a movie was when we knew someone that worked there and we would preview the movie the night before.
