I had not read the comic, but thought I would probably enjoy it. I saw it with my father, joking it was a movie for the two of us, not my mom and younger sister. Dad agreed.
We both liked it. The scene guest directed by Quentin Tarantino was hysterical. (it's when Benecio del Toro and Clive Owens are "talking" in the car) I also thought Mickey Rourke was great as Marv, and Elijah Wood was creepy-just-like-you'd-want-it as Kevin the assasin/cannibal. That sure broke the image of him as Frodo for me.
