I am I am 95% Irish and 5% Cherokee Indian
I was born and raised in Germany (Army Brat)
When my father retired from the Army we were going to move to Cork where he was born and raised at, but instead he brought us state side to live near my mother family in Georgia.

I'm hard to remember, but I'm impossible to forget.

I'm from Limerick, got seduced over to Indy in '99 by an American lass <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> 100% here too, I believe my family name originated in Normandy [northern France] and got into Ireland soon after the Normans conquered England a bunch of centuries ago.

I was born in South Carolina. My family left Ireland sometime before 1824 because that is when my grandma's great-grandfather was born in the US.

I know I'll sound like a weirdo, but I believe in genetic memory. There is no other way that I can explain the longing that is deep within me for Ireland. There are times it almost consumes me.

I want to go there someday. I don't truly feel 'home' here in the US. Something is missing, a sense of belonging maybe, although this is where I was born and have lived my entire 41 years. It feels as much a part of me as my children do.

Your sis in Christ, Suz
