Curious minds want to know, will you go to see the newly released movie with Jet Li called Hero?

Only a few more days left to vote on this poll! I'm very curious if folks went to see this movie what they thought.
So far, I've heard mixed comments. Many are put off by the political view this movie has taken. Some feel there are a lot of "unneccessary" moments simply because it created a really nice image. Others are captivated by the scenery and beauty of the movie, liking it to "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"
I'd love to hear what others thought of the movie!

I advise not putting ending dates on polls, it's great if people who come to your forum in later weeks can still participate
That being said, I definitely want to see Hero. I know they deliberately delayed its release not to coincide with CTHD because they were so similar. It's very Rashomon-like which has always been a favorite film of mine. I just have to find someone to see it with me, or break down to goo and see it alone

Ah I didn't realize you could do a poll without an end date. Thanks Lisa! I'll know for next time.
Too bad we don't live closer together =). I'd be there with you. As is, my little one keeps me out of movie theatres these days so I've had to satisfy my need by watching CTHD on DVD.

September 7, 2004 I saw it yesterday. For those who are not aware, this movie was released in Asia about two years ago. Martial arts was a primary reason for me to go. However, I found t more of a history lesson. As I advised my movie companion, the emperor mentioned in the movie is buried with the Terra Cotta Solders.

He also happens to be the first and one of the most ruthless emperors in the Chinese history. =) But I digress.
I take it from your response that you liked it goloverofhorses?

Yes I like it much. I would give it the "see again" rating.

Cool. Thanks goloverofhorses. I missed it in the movie theatres in my area . I'm going to have to rent it as soon as my local places get it. Sigh, one of the things I miss about no longer being close to NY.
I'm keeping my eyes open right now on Blade, coming out soon. I'm pretty excited to see the 3rd installment of that movie.
