OK this is definitely a baby goldfinch at my window now. He is SO cute!! He's not quite certain about this flying thing yet but once he got to the shelled seeds he's very content to sit there and nibble at them. I saw a group of baby grackles earlier this week but wasn't able to get a picture of them - they were sort of waddling through the grass, examining everything.
