Hi Philip,

I see that you have a Honey Chipotle BBQ Sauce. That combination is delicious I am sure that you can make a really quick snack for visitors by heating little franks in your sauce. Yum.

BTW, there is a period after biz in your post so the link shows up garbled.

Another great flavour booster is chipotle en adobo. I buy the 8 oz. can and puree and keep in the frig for quick additions to fried rice, marinades, soups, etc.

Hi MaryAnne,

I have not seen chipotle en adobo--I will look for it at the supermarket. Hey, I thought that I was the only person to like hot n' spicy fried rice

This recipe is absolutely fan-cock-a-doodle-do-tastic!

Armadillo Eggs (not real ones, it's just the name...ok!)

24 jalapeno peppers
1 pound big old spicy sausage
2 cups all-purpose baking mix (no idea what this is)
1 (16 ounce) cheap package Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 (16 ounce) package Monterey Jack cheese, cubed

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C - check this). Lightly grease a medium baking sheet.

Cut a slit in each jalapeno pepper. Remove and discard seeds and pulp. Don't get the seeds in your eyes or it'll hurt, and it's not my fault if you do because I've just warned you. This is true. Read on (but don't forget what I've just said, let's leave it there).

What was I saying? Oh yes in a medium bowl*, mix your big old spicy sausage, baking mix (still no idea), Cheddar cheese, crushed red pepper, and garlic salt.

Still with me? Good. Stuff jalapenos with the Monterey Jack cheese cubes. Shape sausage mixture around the jalapenos to form balls or other interesting geometric shapes. Actually you could make some funny shapes (little men, aliens, hats etc) out of the cheese, instead of cubes...but only if you have a lot of spare time on your hands.

Arrange jalapeno balls (or interesting geometric shapes) on the prepared baking sheet. Bake 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly browned (not black, that would mean they are burned). Serve with massive amounts of beer to your friends, or eat alone if you don't have any.

* a medium sized bowl

Sour Cream with Cayenne pepper

1/2 container sour cream
add 1/2 tsp. or to your taste buds
1 tsp. garlic powder
salt to taste

Mix all together well. .. adjust seasonings if you like

Use as a dip on anything from chips to tortilla chips or on a sandwhich.

Sometimes I just use jalapenos (de-seeded) diced up in the sour cream.
If you like use 1/2 Philly cream cheese and 1/2 sour cream .. . Be Creative get wild Helene
