My mom was into crocheting when I was younger (making me a shawl and several ponchos!) and I gave it a try as a teenager (made my father a funky shaped scarf! lol) and then again in 1999 when I was pregnant with my youngest child (I aspired to crotchet him a blanket but it only got to be the size of a POTHOLDER! hehehehe).
When I was about 10 or 11 I got into needlepoint and made a nice flower piece. I think the needle arts might be a good thing to get my 2 daughters into (ages 13&10) for a summer project (since they would be out of school).
This thread/post has got me excited to see if they would be interested!! Then we can go yarn shopping, etc! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
