Earlier this month, Jessica Lynch (the former prisoner of war who became a national hero when special forces rescued her from an Iraqi hospital) was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. The medical discharge cleared the way for Lynch to pursue possible book and movie deals about her ordeal.

"I Am a Soldier, Too: The Jessica Lynch Story" will go on sale in November at bookstores, discount warehouses, truck stops, gift shops, grocery stores, pharmacies, PXs and just about everywhere else across America. ( Washington Post)

NBC television's movie "Saving Private Lynch" is due out in November, as well. The made for TV movie, starring Laura Regan, has been developed without Lynch's authorization and is based on Lynch's rescue from an Iraqi hospital in April. ( The Reporter)
