Okay maybe you guys can help me out on this... two of the soldiers who have died in this war were from my area. I just finished a rather patriotic (rare for me) piece, and I would like to sell prints of it and have the money from the prints go to those families. The problem is, I don't have the money to print the image. It's rather large, and I think the least expemsive was around 600 for the prints. You can't make one at a time or I'd do that.... so, anyone got ideas on how to get a sponser??? I've never done this kind of thing before, but man, those families have got to be hurting. Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't know much about selling art prints, especially if proceeds will go to a memorial fund. I would suggest approaching local businesses for sponsorship. Many would be happy to do it, especially for a good cause. Also, the printing company might give you a discount if they know what your project is about. And when you are ready, send out press releases to the media (radio, newspapers, TV). They'll pick up on your story and you might receive some free press coverage.
