What is your fave movie filmed in (or set in)Europe?
I loved Under the Tuscan Sun (Italy), Chocolat (France), and Bridget Jones's Diary (England).

I really loved "Howard's End" (England), "Summer in Venice" (Venice, Italy), and "Chocolat" (France).

It's an old Katherine Hepburn movie and it is GORGEOUS. I saw it for the first time about three, maybe four years ago. It was after I had gone to Venice one summer....and it brought back such lovely memories!

Under the Tuscan Sun gave me a similar reaction. I was taken as much by the scenery and the memories of previous adventures as I was by the storyline of the movie itself!

Enchanted April and A Month By The Lake are both wonderful for the lake district scenery! Something magical about the period pieces too.
Have you seen Joan Plowright in Tea with Mussolini? Maggie Smith is fabulous. Beautful shots of Tuscany.
