The couple who won last year may have their own talk show. It's in the works nothing definite just yet. This season there are a couple of wrestlers, models and retired grandparents competing for the prize.

Here is an interview with the host from Amazing Race:

TV Guide Online: This is the first time Amazing Race has gone to Iceland, right? It's a great location for the premiere.

Phil Keoghan: Yeah, we always try to do something that captures people's imaginations, and it's a challenge because you've got to outdo yourself every time. But this season has a great start to it.

TVGO: Tell us more about Jonathan. Based on the first episode, he's shaping up to be this season's Colin.

Keoghan: I think he is, without a doubt, the loudest contestant we've ever had on the show. It will be interesting to see how the fans respond to that. We definitely had people getting upset with him. It seems like the race gets more intense every single time. We're at that point where there's less and less of a honeymoon period. Now it's really about just getting straight into it.

TVGO: Finally, have you got anything to say to Donald Trump, who dissed TAR after it beat The Apprentice at the Emmys?

Keoghan: Yeah, I heard that he wasn't happy. You know, I didn't say this, but somebody said I should tell him: "I'm sorry to tell you, you've been eliminated." I guess he was eliminated before he was able to fire us. But that's just what somebody suggested I say. I don't want The Donald coming after me with his heavies. (Laughs)

The scenes of Iceland were spectacular.

There are certainly some very fiery personalities on the show this season.

I hadn't really watched any of the old seasons, except for the last 3-4 episodes of the Chip and Kim season. This season, I had to get into it from the beginning. What characters did you all like? I couldn't stand Victoria and her obnoxious husband. I loved the older couple. I couldn't believe it when the Grandma was climbing the ice wall - go Grandma!!

Yeah, we were impressed with Gramma and the ice wall too. I really wish someone would put the yellow shirt guy in his place. Holy Obnoxious much. I like the male and femail models. How they are always calling each honey and baby. Overall though I found the couples pretty nasty to one another and not overly supportive. Is it me or are there a lot of actors and models this time around? Feels more staged this year. I actuallly thought they had been to Iceland/Greenland before.

I thought that a bunch of them seemed fake too, like they were hamming it up for the camera. I figure that is probably just the first few episodes, til they get comfortable with the cameras and stuff. Any yellow shirt guy, what the heck is up with him?? It says they are entrepeneurs - I'm sure they have an equal role in their business, just like they do in their marriage!

I was so proud of the grandparents for getting up that wall. Grandma justed zoomed by the other girl. Honestly I was kind of worried about them climbing up that wall when they couldn't even get the seat up. Between Jonathan(yellow shirt guy) and the pro wrestlers wife I don't know who I wanted to stranggle most. I commend some of the crews because I could not be in a competition with my father or any of my exboyfriends.

I don't understand the whole going on Amazing race with the EX thing. Like hello if you couldn't manage to keep a relationship together without the stress what the heck makes you think you can with all that stress. Silly.

They probably knew they had a better chance of being chosen because that was what makes them different from all the couples who try to get on the show. I can't even imagine if I had to compete on a show like that with one of my exes!! LOL

It certainly is tough to find many teams to root for so far. I must say grandma and grandpa are also at the top of my list at the moment.

I am not enjoying yellow shirt guy or wrestling woman.

When she put the wrong kind of gas in the car. I was yelling at the TV; read please read. Her ex was looking at her like she was stupid. I think he forgot that she asked him and he said regular.

I was thinking the same thing. He was looking at her as if she was the idiot... Hello, you thought it was a good idea at the time.

I like the grandparents because they are the most supportive of each other. I feel like they chose a lot of the couples because they argue and DON'T support each other.

Yes, he was especially rude and obnoxious to her. We couldn't believe he was being so wimpy. "oh i can't carry my bag, Waaa" He is so vicious to her. She should divorce him when the show's over.

Almost as annoying was the model girl I can't remember her name. They are both models. She's so whiny. "oh baby, it's to heavy, it hurts, it smells, the people are disgusting".

It's amazing to see what people wimp out on. It's usually not what you expect. I think they just get so tired they aren't thinking straight.

Anybody get Phil's new book?

Did anyone watch last night's episode?? I really like Kris and Jon - since Don and MJ are gone, they are my new favorites. I couldn't believe the way Jonathan was talking to Gus - he and Victoria really need to go home. I saw them on an interview on Access Hollywood or one of those shows and he was pretending that they "played it up" for the cameras. Good try Jon, but I don't think so!

Jonathan is a major pain. You'd think he was 10 years old. "You took our tickets" wahhh. They bought them fair and square. Are Kris and John the ones who don't say boo to anyone, enjoy what their doing and love to check out the scenery while they're running by? John has some freaky spiky blond hair? They were in the running for 1 and 2nd for the last couple runs. WHat really surprised us last night was the "TO BE CONTINUED". We freaked! LOL. I hate that.

I keep hoping that Jonathan comes in last & gets eliminated.

I was almost thinking that Victoria would simply refuse to go any further in the race so they would get eliminated. I would seriously consider doing that just to get away from him!

I diging up info on them for a article and the more I find out I'm like why are you with him!!!

I think Jonanthan should date the wrestlers wife and just let them go at it. Between the both of them I don't know who is more annoying

I actually watch this show alone because my husband doesn't find it entertaining but when they went to Senegal and two of the women made comments like "no wonder so many people escaped this place" and "why do they keep on breeding" I was screaming at the tv. Then they showed this other couple bathing in the water with the Senegalese children and thankfully it showed not all people from the U.S. are ignorant.

I felt so bad about Bolo and Lori last episode and was excited to see them come up in the lead but pig's blood would have made me lose. LOL

I really wish Jonathan and Victoria would just lose already. His constant berating of her especially at the tobasco soup contest made me hate him even more.

Am I the only one that feels the dating long distance couple is probably going to win?

Is that the couple that swam with the children? I think they'll win. Unless someone does something under handed which is likely.

Yea, that the couple. I never saw a season of Amazing Race before this one so I don't know if under handed things usually happen but I'm rooting for them.

The formerly dating couple Adam and Rebecca crack me up. Adam is such a baby. I mean one episode all the women beat him carrying the salt. And this episode he whined for like 20 min. about diving. And the funny thing about it is once he stopped whining he found out diving was really not that hard.

I'm so happy that Jonathan and Victoria are finally gone. I know she was a bit dramatic this episode but why should some else have to tell you to help your wife. Everyone else pulled the one donkeys while they got a little boy to pull theirs.

I think Adam and Rebecca the formerly dating couple are the next to go. I have to admit that if they're eliminated next, I'll miss Adam he's my entertainment.

I'm so happy they are gone too. Victoria was a bit much too this week but it's about time she gave him what for.

I was worried, John and Sarah would get booted. They don't get much air time compared to the others.

Jon and Sarah? Do you mean Jon and Kris the blonde? I like them. I can't believe Hayden started begging for money. The grandparents just asked other team members when they needed money.

I am so happy Jonathan and Victoria are gone. I was sick of his yelling and insults and her just taking it. I'm not sure that she was being overly dramatic with the cut finger. It looked kinda bad. It would be one thing if she just stopped and sat down and wimpered about the finger but she was [censored] and screaming and kept working. Which is kinda what you have to do in a contest.

I'm looking forward to Adam and Rebecca going bye bye. Seriously, the final teams should be Hayden, Lori and Kris. They are all strong in different ways and it will be interesting to see who gets through the challenges when its only 3 teams.

I agree Victoria! So happy to see the screaming duo are gone. I think Rebecca is almost as annoying in her own way though!

I hope Kris and John win.

Freddy and Kendra - UGH! How long did the producers have to search before they found the stereotypical "ugly American" couple. Do you think they are acting? I wonder sometimes.

Yea, about Kendra I noticed that she hated being in Senegal but when she had trouble breathing she had no problem letting one of the Ethiopian children carry her backpack! I don't think the producers had to look far to find her. There are tons of people like Kendra out there and I really doubt she is acting but I am really happy to see the exact opposite of her there (Kris and John)

I loved that Kris and Jon won on Tuesday!! I have been rooting for them all along. I think Freddie and Kendra seemed to get along best in this episode, but I am still hoping they don't win. I loved when Kris and Jon's cabs kept passing everyone else's! BTW, what is up with Adam and Rebecca, now they are kissing and all lovey dovey??? Strange...

Rebecca said at one point "If I have to pretend to be his girlfriend to win then I will." Nice woman. Anyway, on to Kirs and Jon. THey so deserve to win. Everywhere they've gone they've been supportive of one another and have totally absorbed each and every new experience with a positive attitude. From last night's episode it sounds like Freddie/Kendra and Adam/Rebecca will be ganging up on Kris and Jon to get them eliminated. Is there another "Yeild" coming up?

Interesting about Adam and Rebecca - I guess she is just pretending to be romantically interested to keep him in the game. You've gotta wonder how it makes him feel when he hears that on tv...

It seem ed like everyone was worried about Kris and John on this episode.

Adam kind of reminded me of my 3 year old nephew on this episode when he threw his little temper tantrum and wanted to go home.

Ok, so who do you guys think is getting the boot tonight?? I think Adam and Rebecca are going to lose. I agree with Victoria, Adam is like a little kid and his weaknesses are going to make them lose sooner or later.

Wow. Sherita! I just read in your latest article that Rob and Amber from Survivor will be in the next series of the Amazing Race. Sounds interesting! I hope they stay longer than Alison from Big Brother and her boyfriend (now ex).

I can't believe Freddy and Kendra won. The finale really kept me on my toes I couldn't tell who was giong to win. It was back and forth between the teams the whole time. If Kris and Jon didn't get stopped by the plane it would have been really close. It really surprised me Hayden and I can't remember her boyfriends name but they quit so close to the end.

Not too pleasing to see Kendra win the million. Hayden just about had a meltdown. It would have been lovely to see Kris and John win. I think the guy at the American Airlines counter gave them $1M worth of bad info when he said that his flight was the first in to Hawaii. Oh well. They'll be just fine.

Looking forward to the next series.

I am so not happy Freddy and Kendra won. The guy at the American Airlines counter must have really wanted to book their tickets because he royally screwed them or they would have won I am sure.

What about Freddie telling the police officer that they have an emergency!!! "Um, yea I'm on a reality tv show and I need to get escorted to get my million" Somehow, I think the crime in Chicago might have been a priority for those police officers.

Oh and Kendra... "I have a sick child in Honolulu". Yea, the day you use that excuse is the day you are going to Hell. It's just as simple as that. I could never use my daughter as an excuse.

In 3 weeks, it looks like it will be a good bunch of people again. Especially the guy that was held hostage in Iraq. Yikes, I wonder if he will last past the first round. And the Survivor couple look like they are just there to have fun and be on tv again not really win.

Sherita,

I think I understand why Hayden quit. They had an incredibly horrible day. I mean awful luck. They were being timed and filmed and it just wasn't their day at all. Too bad they were so close to the end of the race when that happened. They didn't really annoy me besides the fact that they aligned themselves with Freddie and Kendra.

One more thing, how many of us could go 3 hours trying to open locks and then have it break, have to get a new one and try again. I'm thinking I would have really been cranky.

I would be cranky too. But Hayden repsonse to everything is "Aaron fix it", "Aaron do something". I know they did not have the greatest day but my cranky butt would have been unlockung some locks. You've got down to the final four and it's a million dollars on the line.

There starting to start new season right after each other. I thought the Apprentice was quick. The next Amazing Race starts in three weeks.

I enjoy watching Rob and Amber... I can't help it! The mother-son team and the boyfriends are amusing too.

Less nastiness so far... but true colors will start bubbling to the surface in the next couple of episodes. I hope we don't have a "Kendra" this season.

How do you like the concept of the family version they are advertising? I'm looking forward to it.

A family version sounds kind of interesting -- I'm curious to see how that would change the family dynamic from being under stress, travelling, etc.

Maybe I'm the only one but I've always wondered how people who participate in these reality shows have enough time off to do them. I only get so much vacation time and I'd never use it on something like this!

Hey Sarah,

I actually think that this season is much nastier/sneakier than the previous season. I'm not talking Kendra nasty, I mean just the cutthroat-ness being shown already.

I am not sure how a family version would make a difference considering there have been Mother/Son and Father/Daughter on before and in the family version it would just be 2 more family members on it.

What would be really cool is if they made it pairs of strangers LOL

Do you remember the short-lived show LOST? Not the (Charlie from Party of Five) airplane wreck on an island, but the reality show cut short by 9/11. I believe they were pairs of strangers stranded in the middle of nowhere (Mongolia I think). That show was disappointing, but the premise was a good one.

Oh I just noticed all the old graemlins are back. Yippee.

Grrrr! The powers that be at CBS are shoving Rob and Amber into every nano second of the show. Why was Rob's time described as "perfect" when others did it in less time?

I think Joyce was amazing for her deed. I don't know that I could have done that. I had a long talk with DH as we watched the show and he said it just wasn't worth it unless you knew you were going to win. As long as this couple stays on track, I think they will do well. The good news is that it isn't permanent. It was a great episode!

I am with you, Jlynn... I thought it was a great episode. I would never have done that. Because then if you lose next episode, you lost and you're bald! That would be too much for me to handle!
