Hi girls.....Hoping you can help me out real quick. I am trying to do something like this:

objRS.Filter = "eventdate = 2"
If objrs.EOF then
eventcaption = ""
Else
Response.Write"<a href=""Showevent.asp?eventid=" & objrs.Fields ***"eventdate"*** .Value & ">" & objRs***"eventcaption"***& "</a>"
Response.Write(objRS("eventtime"))
End If
objRS.Filter = adFilterNone


The problem is that my filtered eventcaption does not print on my html page. In fact it prohibits the whole process. Is my syntax incorrect? I've taken the parenthesis out of objrs.Fields "eventdate" .Value and changed it to *** to be able to post.

I would always start with something simple. Just say

if EOF then
response.write "EOF"
else
response.write "not EOF"
end if

and see which it does. Make sure the basic syntax works. Then just start slowly changing what the response.write puts out on the screen.
