Nope, haven't seen sardines and onions. I'm in Alaska. Could it be regional?

I like Monte Cristo but they are not really on the menu anywhere. Being in CA and from NJ I also like porkroll, otherwise known as Taylor Ham and it is from Trenton, NJ. That with cheese and even eggs is very good. You can buy it from a meat vendor at the Farmers Market here in LA.

Banana slices on my peanut butter sandwich. This one is actually quite popular down here in the south. We often make them up for our competitive cheeerleading squad, because it gives them good energy before competitions- potassium, protein, and carbs. (Although some people put mayo on it too, Ick!) My weirdest favorite is one my grandmother got me hooked on when I was a kid, and I absolutely cannot eat since I've had the gastric bypass: white bread, mayo and potato chips.

Good peanut butter with mayo or miracle whip on a toasted wheat bread. When i was a kid I liked in on good ole stanrd white bread, but found out I have a gluten allergy and wondered why i was phlemy all the time.
Grilled PB&J on a frozen waffle.
Toaster Waffle with strawberry preserves on one side and whipped cream cheese on the other with bananas and sliced strawberries in the middle.
An everything bagle, sliced and toasted and topped with cream cheese and either convord grape jam or strawberry preserves.
Sliced Tomatoes sprinkled with sugar, mayo and sliced red onion that is salted and peppered on whear or rye bread.
Toasted potatoe kaiser roll slathered with mayo on one side and chunky cranberry sauce with craisins on the other, thick slice of roasted turkey and a slab o stuffing (when I do dressing I do it in a brownie pan and we slice it then roast it so it is like a stuffing cake).
Peanut butter, crumbled thick bacon thats been rendered, honey and banana on toasted wheat bread or french toast

When Elvis died and they talked about peanut butter and bacon - I tried one. It was okay, but haven't done it since.

Try: [ Peanut butter, bacon, and thinly sliced apple on whole wheat - toasted or not. Or Mayo, liverwurst, sweet pickle. Or Peanut butter and a thick schmear of mayo on soft white. Or Tuna salad and pile on nacho flavored Doritos. Smoosh down the top bread to crush the chips!
