Parents: How did you choose the name you named your child?

I'll go first! I didn't think really deeply about it or look for the meaning in the name. My sister-in-law suggested the name she had wanted to use if she had a girl- which she never did. I liked it and thought it was different. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I still like it but I was very wrong about it being different! It was that year that the name Erin became VERY popular! :rolleyes:
It did save my daughter from some very strange names that I had been considering!

My first husband maned my oldest daughter after a old girlfriend.... didn't know until after she was named..

My son is named after his great grandfather and father..

My Mom named my third... First name because she liked it and middle name after her oldest son who died at 2..

and my last... My husband and I couldn't agree on a name for a girl.. so I sat down with the baby name book and kept saying the names I liked until he agreed with one..
Chloe Jean... Her middle is my oldest sisters middle name...
