What bike would you buy if you could have any one on the market?

Well, rumor has it that Ducati is coming out with a streebike version of the Desmosedici Moto GP bike.
If they do, I'm sure that will be mine.

I love the Honda VTX 1300. Or the Yamaha road warrior. Harley has a couple of bikes I like.

One that I design and build myself!

But you can't beat a http://www.gogocycles.com/harley-davidson-electra-glide.html Harley Electra Glide for comfort on long trips, so I'd like to own one of those for travel.

Me too!
Biggest bike I've ever ridden - and the first time I did was for a 400 mile ride after I bought it! <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

"you can't beat a Harley Electra Glide for comfort on long trips"

Spoken like someone who has never ridden an FL on a long trip: "so I'd like to own one of those". Yep.

Me, I can't pick a preference. I've always said that if the only bike I could own was a pink 50cc Honda, I'd ask for two, since they are small.

I get the hots for some - in new bikes, the styling of the Ducati GT 1000 reminds me of the Hondas and Beezers of my youth (with 1000cc of desmo power!). I'm also intrigued with the Harley water buffalo - what's that called - V-Rod?

In old bikes, I'd love to get my hands on - I guess I mean get my [censored] on - an Ariel Square 4 or maybe a Vincent Black Shadow. Course the CBX was a piece of work too... or how about a scary Kawasaki H2 or a Yammy RD 350 or a ...

For travel I still say you can't beat a Harley cruiser, but a custom-built chopper that you build yourself is pretty cool, too.

Take a look at this one that I built myself

A Ducati 1976 750 Sport. Or a 999R. Or a BMW R1200S. Maybe a speed triple. There are just so MANY bikes to choose from. I would just have to add them all to the stable. Along with my already 1972 Ducati and my 1999 Suzuki SV650.

I saw the new Desmo repli racer at Laguna Seca, Mazda Raceway. Site of the RedBull USGP. A real beauty. At a list price $72,500 MSRP I would be scared to ride it.

I wonder if parts are tough to find?

Mine would be the Ducati 999R in the XEROX 2006 Bayliss paint scheme. Wow what a beautiful bike.

For Evo,

'Course if you are riding a chopper with a hard-tail and that kind of front end geometry with slider tubes, no wonder you think an FL is comfortable on long hauls.
