Gossip has it that this season's "Buffy" will find the slayer and her crew headed back to their high school.......it's destroyed right?

And, though the "Tara" character was killed off last season, she will return this season. Hmmmm, now how are they going to manage that?

Sarah Michelle Gellar stated on "The View" last week that this season will be "lighter" after such a harsh and dark last season. She also mentioned that she didn't see "much" happening between her "Buffy" and "Spike", just trying to throw us all off-track? I can't wait to find out!

Okay this is what I know... The school is rebuilt and Dawn is attending it (well she is a teenager) Tara the character does NOT come back, but the actress comes back in a different role. Umm I heard some other stuff about Glory coming back (not sure how they will manage that). But what I want to see is Spike . Anyway, that's all I know right now... I'm such a buffy junkie

I want Angel back. I wasn't a Buffy fan until I happened to catch the early episodes being repeated.

I know, I know he has his own show now, but it's just not the same at all.

I heard that Dawn may be taking over for Buffy and I thought I heard talk of Faith coming back too. Now that's a scary thought.

Oh yes, I did hear that faith was coming back. Angel I liked, but whenever he was around Buffy got all girly, I don't know how to explain... You know those women who can't do anything? Who HAVE to have aman around to fix everything? That's what she reminded me of. I don't think that Dawn could take over really well (though they did give us hints of that in the season finale) It's not that I don't like the character, it's that Buffy (or should I say Sarah Michelle Geller) has a certain style that makes her appealing. She has a way of delivering her lines that works, and I don't think the actress who plays Dawn could pull off a similar character, or one that was strong enough to take buffy out of the picture.
no angel cross overs either, since buffy went to a different station, that was always fun, oh well. I would have liked to see the part where buffy talks with angel, after coming back from the dead.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is making noises that she may NOT renew her contract (which will make THIS Buffy's last season) - in light of that fact, you may see Faith return towards the end of this season.

The producers/writers may try a Faith with Dawn learning kind of thing to start off a Buffy-less season, but this is just conjecture at this point. And what would they rename the show?

Yes, Dawn goes back to the "new" Sunnydale High and word has it that Buffy will, somehow, work there??? Sarah Michelle Gellar claims that this season is going to be much "lighter" to offset last year's darker season. She hinted that Spike's return (with a heart) will not be what we expect.

That's all I know for now, keep posting when you get new news!! Thanks for keeping us updated.

I wonder how they are going to deal with the whole "slayer powers pass on to another slayer" thing. In the first season Buffy gets killed, and then revived, so another slayer got powers (hence faith being a slayer) So, if they perma-remove buffy from the picture... how is Dawn going to get the "slayer power"?

Create Dawn's "birth" as a slayer by "killing" Faith and having Dawn save the day and revive her?! That's JUST conjecture on my part (and kind of weak!) Then Faith can help with Dawn's training.....ugh! Even I don't like that...sorry!

But, they did also say that they are going to strengthen the Dawn character and drop the whiney, childish stuff.

So, I never did get... Buffy still has her "powers" Yet another slayer wont get those same "powers" until she dies. She did, and whats her name who died off real fast (before faith) got the "powers" so how does Buffy still have "powers"? And for that matter, if she dies, does another slayer get her "powers"? I mean, she's died again, and they never did say that there would be no more power transfer.... so ummm, could there be ANOTHER slayer in the world? And if she dies again.... yet another? (kind of makes you think that the watchers would just pick one, kill her, revive her, kill her, etc etc just to get a plethora of slayers )

More "Buffy" scoop:

Along with the return of Glory, Faith and even Spike's old flame, Drusilla, we can also expect to see Harmony!

As the new season begins - Anya is the first to sense that Spike has a soul but Buffy finds out from Spike in person. A demon named Gnarl will be a threat to Willow in episode 3.

The first three episode titles are "Lessons," "Beneath You" and "Same Time, Same Place."

About the slayer "rules" - I only know what I have eeked out over the years. Supposedly, Faith came to Sunnydale because Buffy had "died". Faith had already been "chosen" and trained and was a slayer somewhere else.

Faith coming to Sunnydale was supposedly due to Buffy's death, but slayers are not necessarily "created" when another slayer dies, but shifted around a bit (location-wise). As for when Buffy died and the gang brought her back after being in Heaven, I think the writers may be holding that in their back pocket to use to bring Faith back to town and/or give a new, improved, less whiney Dawn powers???? I don't really know.

As far as watchers, they supposedly train and guide their slayer. When that slayer is killed, they return to the council who sends them out after a time to search for the next "chosen one" to train, guide, etc.,

Okay - enough Buffy for now! I hear the show "Angel" is going to revisit their Season 1. Hmmmmmm.....

ah! I've had my dose of new buffy! I really liked that episode! It feels more like they are getting back to creepy horror buffy and less depressing emotional buffy (I still liked the show, even through it's mood swings )

As for the slayer.. their pretty specific about slayers being "born" with their powers.... or at least being born with the chance of getting their powers. Their also REALLY specific about there being only one in each generation..... so umm... when buffy died the first time, that other slayer chick (the one who got killed by dru) had her powers "activated". Then, when that chick got killed, faith got "activated"... so I'm left with the whole, did someone else's powers get activated each time buffy died? (didn't she die like three times? ) Anyway, my dad and I were up till 3 am the night buffy came on talking about that lol... gee is buffy fanaticism genetic?

Hmmmmm, I thought Giles spoke to Buffy when Faith arrived on the scene and told her that Faith had an "unstable" reputation previously as a slayer. I know she (Faith) relocated to Sunnydale when Buffy "died", but I understood that she had been training/patrolling somewhere else and her watcher was killed as well. I will have to go back to the season with Faith and check my episodic guides (talk about fanatic, eh?)

And with Dawn having been "the key", I am sure the writers can come up with some sort of "transformation" to a slayer-type (even using Buffy's last "death" that she was retrieved from). Oh well, I was disappointed that the Spike character came back so deranged, disoriented and well, rather wimpy, but we will see. VERY interesting "EVIL" though (a mix of them all) and prophetic wording that we shall be returning to the beginning....hmmmmmm (again).

Yep, Faith's watcher was killed, but this was a while after that other slayer chick got killed off. Faith struck me as another Buffy (rebeling against the rules) just not so successful about avoiding the influences of evil.

I think the wimpy spike was to introduce him, and show that he is still traumatised by the regain of his soul.... it looks like he's going to straighten back up to the tough guy we all know and drool over

I've found I'm not as interested without Angel either. A good story line makes an amazing difference. It's still a good show, but I don't try to make time to watch it anymore.

Buffy is kind of back to its first season tone....so far, there are laughs and my nine year old can watch. Nothing deep but the underlying message is that something BIG is coming!! (A big evil awfulness from the basement of the school?)

Angel I watched after Charmed on Sunday. This particular episode was a bit silly, but it was the vehicle for Cordelia to regain her memory and now, her past and her feelings for Angel are being mulled over. Angel has great potential, but I keep waiting for that GREAT breakout episode....

I've found that I just much prefer Charmed and Third Watch. LOL What a combo huh? I actually watch very very little TV. I'm always cleaning, chasing my kids or on the computer but I make time for those two shows.

I have watched Angel a couple of times but I just never got into it. He's awesome to look at it, but a show needs more than an awesomely sexy vampire.
