Ok, I got one of those cheap little sewing machines that I saw on TV. So this is simple right?! I got the top threading through; I also got the bottom in. I lowered the needle to pull out the bottom thread. The instructions say to pull out the loop and move it to the back. So the top thread in front and the bottom in the back. Then once I try to sew it goes a little bit and gets tangled <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> ! DO i unattach the bottom thread with the top thread when I pull it out from the bottom? (Which is what i did) I assume I put the bottom thread under the footer right? So why am I all tangled? Help please. <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I use a Singer machine, but what I do is first thread the top needle with about 6" of thread hanging down, then I lay the bobbin in, thread about 6" extended and laying to the left, keeping the bobbin case OPEN.

Next, holding the end of the needle thread so it doesn't get pulled into the machine I manually turn the wheel to go down and around and this picks up the bobbin thread. Then I close the bobbin case.

Now, both treads are out the back ready for sewing. Before I begin sewing I extend 6" of the top thread and hold it with my left hand to the back till the machine starts.
