LOL! I wonder how many versions of this we can come up with? By the way, why stop at 5th grade? In our schools k-6th are all in the elementary level.

Early Childhood education is generally divided into three areas:

Preschool - ages 3-4
Kindergarten - ages 5-6
Primary Grades - ages 6-8

It's surprising that primary grade students are considered to be in the early childhood grouping. The reason that they are included is because they still share a lot of the same developmental characteristics as their younger counterparts. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
