I use a HTML editor - it's called Namo. If I need to upload a page onto my Bella Musician site it needs to be compressed first - for this I use the "Absolute" HTML compressor - it's freeware - u can download it here:
For my own sites I don't need to compress the pages.
I'll probably get Dreamweaver soon enough to do the HTML - it's a matter of time and the "divil you know ... " and so on <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.
I personally highly prefer text document types. since then you're in control of the coding and it won't mess up.
but if you're gonna use an editor, then use Dreamweaver, it's the best one out there, and also has the option to quickly switch between WYSIWYG view and code view.
I used to spend a lot of time at work "fixing" documents edited with FrontPage so they would meet the organization's accessability standards. I don't know if it's better now, but I still avoid FrontPage at all costs.
I am trying to put music from my computer on a forum. Does any one know a programme that will host my music plus give me a URL code so I can put the song on a forum.
Good friends are like stars. You don't always see them but you always know they are there.
Just go to Google and search for music hosting or audio hosting and you will get a list of web sites that will host your audio files (usually mp3) and some of them will give you an artist webpage.
