Donnie Wahlberg (former member of New Kids on the Block) was in the miniseries, "Band of Brothers"; had a movie, "Diamond Men" (2002) out earlier in the year (an indie film)....

He was also in "Triggermen" (2002)this year;
is starring in the new TV series "Boomtown" as Detective Joel Stevens it premieres Sept. 29 NBC's Boomtown - AND he has a movie coming out in 2003 -"Dreamcatcher" a Horror/SciFi based on Stephen King's writing. (It is in post-production as we speak.)

He t'aint doin' so bad after all!! <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I was involved in an accident with one of the Wahlbergs on the South East Expressway on my way into see a Baryshnakof (sp?) performance in May of 1998. It was a 3 vehicle accident ... Wahlberg hit my car. He claimed the other driver hit him on purpose forcing him into me. The state trouper at the scene said Wahlberg was at fault. My car had $8,000 damage. His shiney Red truck barely had a scratch. I have to say however he was quite polite. I didn't realize who the Wahlbergs were until sometime later and we missed 1/2 the Baryshnakof performance.

They are a big family in Boston - Mark and Donnie have six other siblings!! Quite a bunch!!

Hope you are okay after the accident in '98, glad to hear the Wahlberg you met with in so untimely a manner was polite. They do NOT usually have the "polite" reputation - unfortunately.

I can't remember which one it was but yes they are a big family. There was an arrogance about the "kid" ... you know the kind that comes from not having to struggle cuz everything is given to you on a silver platter. But, he was polite to me and the investigating office even though he disagreed with the officer's assessment of fault. Fortunately, no-one was injured but my car did take the brunt of the accident. 2nd BIG accident with that car and it was mearly a year old. Between the two, there was more damage than the original price of the car. But it got put back together again and still runs great. Gotta love those Hondas. I was still fighting the insurance company on some of it when I moved to WNC. I'm not sure they ever got it settled but I was finally made whole.

OK, that one was kinda tough. The answer is a Nordsman named Biorn in 986.

Here is today's trivia question:
