BellaOnline Forums Home and Garden Gardening Winterizing my Garden?

Do I need to do anything to my garden before it gets any colder? I'm new to this. Just planted my first garden this year and it was beautiful! Still is actually but should I be doing something, planting something for the Spring, etc.?

Sorry I missed your question. Had given up clicking on "live chat".

I do nothing to winterize my garden other than mulching everything with a 3-4" layer of chopped up autumn leaves. I let the earthworms process them over the winter to add nutrients and organic matter to the soil.
