Okay, it's ps2. I get to the top of the well, take out the two drunk guards after one has finished urinating. I can repel off a tree stump down to a ledge, and climb out onto the timbers, and after that I'm stuck. I've tried a running jump onto a ledge on the left wall a few times but since I have never made it, I'm not sure that it is possible anyway.
It's frustrating enough to join a forum like this one and ask for help. Dropping a grenade on the german shepard helps, but it's not as good as the answer.
Does anyone know how you get down the rest of the well without killing yourself?
Thanks.
Rex.

I'm having the same problem. Have you met Shetland yet ? I CAN"T FIND HIM. and I think you can't proceed without having met him.

I figured it out! You do a leap around to the left onto the timbers that run along the wall at about ankle height. Then you drop a couple of times and repel off another stump. You meet up with Shetland at the end of the stage. He's studying a tent site through binoculars.

Good luck.
Rex.
