My favorite region of the mid-west is the Upper Peninsula of MI. I lived there for nearly 15 years before the siren call of Alaska finally dragged me, kicking and screaming, away from the awesome Keweenaw Peninsula. Copper Harbor, Houghton, Marquette, L'Anse, Pictured Rocks, Porcupine Mountains State Park .... I could go on and on. Love that country.
