I just finished writing book 7 in my Art Museum Mystery series. This one is set in the Audubon House in Key West, Florida. I've visited there twice and love it. Both times my mom took me. This image shows a single page from his one of his massive famous folios - each print was **full sized** and showed the bird full color. The prints were made from copper-etched plates and then hand colored in. A full "book" of 435 prints cost the equivalent of $80,000 back in 1830 . Now, of course, one could be had for a mere ten million.
